Arizona beach volleyball's run in the Big 12 Tournament came to an end Friday when the Wildcats fell to Florida State on home turf.Â

After defeating UA 3-0, No. 1 seed Florida State toppled TCU in the same fashion, taking the conference title later in the afternoon.Â
Arizona headed into the Florida State matchup with a win over South Carolina on Friday morning, 3-2, giving the Cats a 23-win season, the second-most in program history. That run included four ranked wins and 10 sweeps.
Locking in wins for UA vs. South Carolina were Carlie Cisneros and Regan Holmer, 21-17 and 21-19; Ashlyn Zilliken and Madeline Walker, 21-19, 21-18; and Brooke Boyko and Sadie Moore in three sets, 22-20, 26-28 and 15-11.

In the semifinal round, Holmer and Cisneros fell short first to Florida State's Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig, 21-15, 21-11, followed by a loss for Meghan O'Meara and Adriana Nieves, 21-11, 21-13. The Seminoles sealed the deal with a win over Arizona's Sophia Winter and Jamie Streit in three sets, 19-21, 21-17 and 15-13.
