The Pima County Sheriff's Department has released the name of a man who shot and killed himself in front of deputies Tuesday and his wife, who was found fatally shot nearby.
Guy Hatfield, 72, was suspected in the shooting of his wife, victim Jeanette Hatfield, 64, the department said in a news release Thursday.Â
Deputies had gone to the home in the 10000 block of North Camino de Oeste on the °µÍø³Ô¹Ï area's northwest side shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a problem.
As they arrived, they saw Guy Hatfield shoot himself in the driveway, and found Jeanette Hatfield shot and wounded nearby, the Sheriff's Department said. Life-saving measures were attempted, but both were pronounced dead at the scene.Â
