Arizona added another player to its 2028 recruiting class, when Phoenix-area offensive tackle Karmello Calloway committed to the Wildcats on Easter.Â
Calloway is a 6-6, 295-pound tackle at Centennial High School in Peoria, and he committed to Arizona over Washington, Texas A&M, Kansas, Wisconsin and New Mexico State.Â
The Phoenix-area product is the second commit in Arizona’s 2028 recruiting class, joining three-star defensive end Simote Tupou, who committed in July.Â
Arizona currently has two players committed to its 2027 recruiting class: three-star wide receiver Trey Smith, who’s entering his senior season at Williams Field in Gilbert, and Austin, Texas-area defensive back Jalani Culpepper.
Calloway is one of many offensive linemen from the Phoenix area to join the Wildcats. Potential starting tackle Matthew Lado signed with Arizona in 2024 out of Glendale Apollo, then the Wildcats signed Mesa Red Mountain offensive tackle Jaxon Griffin in 2025. In 2026, Arizona signed four-star offensive tackle Malachi Joyner, who was a star at Gilbert Williams Field. Joyner is joining the team this summer.Â
