Sen. Robert F. Kennedy made a stop in °µÍø³Ô¹Ï in March, 1968, during his campaign for President of the United States. He spoke to crowds at °µÍø³Ô¹Ï International Airport and the University of Arizona.

Kennedy was assassinated on June 6, 1968, in Los Angeles.
